Effective from 2 October 2026. The operator reserves the right to amend these terms; contracts already concluded are governed by the wording in force at the time the contract was concluded.

2. Introductory provisions

These terms and conditions govern the rights and obligations of the contracting parties in the provision of service work — in particular diagnostics, repair and maintenance of electronic devices (mobile phones, tablets, laptops, computers and accessories).

The contractual relationship between the customer and the operator is a contract for the repair and alteration of a thing under § 652 et seq. of Act No. 40/1964 Coll., the Civil Code. If the customer is a consumer, the relationship is also governed by Act No. 108/2024 Coll. on Consumer Protection.

By handing the device over to the service, the customer confirms that they have read these terms and agree to them.

3. Ordering a repair

A repair can be ordered:

  • by phone at the numbers given in point 1,
  • by e-mail to info@servis-pc.sk,
  • through the booking form on this page,
  • in person at the premises at Lichnerova 116/8, Senec.

An order placed through the form or by phone is a non-binding request for an appointment. The contract comes into being only when the operator physically takes over the device and issues a service protocol (receipt).

When the device is taken over, a service protocol is issued containing the identification of the device, a description of the reported fault, visible damage and the customer’s contact details. The customer receives a copy of the protocol, which serves as the document for collecting the device.

4. Diagnostics and price quotation

Diagnostics serves to determine the cause of the fault and to set the price of the repair. The price of diagnostics is €39 incl. VAT.

The operator does not charge for diagnostics in these cases:

  • if the customer approves the proposed repair and the operator carries it out — in that case the price of diagnostics is included in the price of the repair,
  • if the device cannot be repaired, for example because spare parts are unavailable or because of the extent of the damage.

The price of diagnostics is payable if the customer declines a repair that is technically possible and whose price the operator announced in advance. The device will be returned in the condition in which it was received.

If the customer orders the repair later, the price of diagnostics already paid is deducted from the price of the repair.

The customer is informed of the price of diagnostics before handing the device over to the service — when ordering via the form they confirm it by ticking a box, and for a personal handover it is stated in the service protocol.

After diagnostics the operator informs the customer of the fault found, the expected repair price and an indicative completion date. The repair begins only after the customer has approved the price. Consent can be given by phone, e-mail, SMS or in person.

If unexpected technical complications that were not apparent during diagnostics arise during the repair, the operator may increase the repair price by at most 10% even without the customer’s prior consent. For a larger increase the operator contacts the customer and asks for consent; without it the repair does not continue.

If diagnostics requires taking apart a glued device, the customer is warned of this in advance and re-gluing is charged by agreement.

5. Carrying out the repair

The operator carries out the repair with professional care, by the agreed date and for the agreed price. Standard repairs are usually carried out within 24 hours of the price being approved, if the necessary spare parts are in stock.

The operator uses original spare parts or quality-verified replacements. The customer is told which type of part will be used before the repair is carried out.

The operator is entitled to refuse to carry out a repair in particular if:

  • the device is in such a condition that repair is not technically possible or economically sensible,
  • the necessary spare parts are not available,
  • there is a justified suspicion that the device originates from criminal activity,
  • the customer has not provided the cooperation needed to carry out the repair.

If the customer does not provide the access credentials to the device, a complete pre-repair or post-repair test of the device cannot be carried out. In that case the operator does not assume responsibility for the full functionality of the device or for the functionality of those of its parts that could not be tested without the access credentials.

Hidden defect. With a device after a fall (mechanical damage), one taken apart at another service centre or by third parties, damaged by liquid or exposed to excessively high or low temperatures, a hidden defect may appear once a service operation has begun. It may render the device permanently inoperable, or further defects and damage may appear that increase the repair price. The operator is not liable for defects and faults arising in this way and is not obliged to bear further costs for removing them.

6. Data on the device and responsibility for it

The customer arranges the backup of data themselves, unless backup has been expressly agreed as the subject of the order. The operator recommends making a backup before handing the device over to the service.

The operator accesses data on the device only to the extent necessary for diagnostics and repair and undertakes to keep it confidential.

Data may be lost when replacing the motherboard or storage medium, reinstalling the operating system, or as a result of a hidden defect of the device (sudden failure).

The operator is not liable for loss of data if backup was not the subject of the order or if the loss resulted from a hidden defect that could not have been foreseen. The operator does not exclude liability for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence.

The operator stores the access code to the device encrypted. If the customer does not wish it, the code is not recorded.

7. Price and payment terms

The price of the repair is set individually according to the type of device, the extent of the fault and the spare parts used. The customer knows the final price before the repair begins, and the operator will not exceed it without the customer’s consent, except in the case of unexpected technical complications under point 4, when it may increase it by at most 10%.

The price is payable at the latest when the device is collected. Payment can be made in cash or by payment card on the premises, or by transfer to the account on the basis of an issued invoice.

The device will be released to the customer after the repair price has been paid in full. Until full payment the replaced spare part remains the property of the operator.

The operator disposes of replaced faulty parts in an environmentally responsible way unless the customer requests them when handing the device over to the service.

8. Collecting the device from the service

The operator informs the customer of the completion of the repair by phone, SMS or e-mail at the contact given in the service protocol.

The customer is obliged to collect the device within one month from the end of the time when the repair was due to be carried out (§ 656(1) of the Civil Code). If they fail to do so, they are obliged to pay a storage fee of €2 for each started day of delay.

If the customer does not collect the device within six months from the day when the order was due to be carried out, the operator is entitled to sell the item under § 656(2) of the Civil Code. If the operator knows the customer’s address and the item is of greater value, it is obliged to notify the customer of the intended sale in advance and give them a reasonable additional period.

The device is released solely upon presentation of the service protocol. If it is lost, identity and ownership of the device must be proven.

9. Complaints

Liability for defects of a completed repair, the warranty period and the procedure for filing a complaint are governed by the separate Complaints Policy, which forms an integral part of these terms and conditions.

10. Personal data protection

The processing of customers’ personal data is described in detail in the document Privacy Policy.

11. Alternative dispute resolution

If you are not satisfied with the way we handled your complaint, or if you believe we have violated your rights, you have the right to contact us with a request for redress. If we reply to your request with a refusal or do not reply within 30 days of the day it was sent, you have the right to submit a proposal to start alternative dispute resolution under Act No. 391/2015 Coll. on Alternative Resolution of Consumer Disputes.

The alternative dispute resolution body is the Slovak Trade Inspection or another authorised legal entity entered in the list kept by the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic. The proposal may also be submitted via the ODR platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

12. Final provisions

Relationships not governed by these terms are governed by the law of the Slovak Republic, in particular the Civil Code and Act No. 108/2024 Coll. on Consumer Protection.

If any provision of these terms becomes invalid or ineffective, this does not affect the validity of the other provisions.

These terms and conditions take effect on 2 October 2026.
