Tempered glass for your phone: a few euros that save a screen worth hundreds

With intensive daily use of a phone, a moment of inattention is all it takes for a fall. Good-quality tempered glass can prevent expensive damage to the screen.

What does a screen protector save?

A tempered glass screen protector works as a reliable shield for your smartphone. In a fall it absorbs the energy of the impact and spreads the pressure over its whole surface. In practice this means that in a hard impact the protector cracks, but the screen underneath stays completely intact. What would normally mean an expensive repair of the whole screen is taken by the protective layer.

Replacing a cracked protector while you wait costs €15, whereas replacing a damaged screen or buying a new smartphone can run to tens or hundreds of euros.

Why not to put off replacing a damaged protector

Many users walk around with a cracked screen protector for several months, which brings several hidden risks:

  • Reduced image quality and sensitivity: A web of cracks significantly worsens the legibility of the screen in sunlight and can limit touch accuracy.
  • Risk of injury: Small glass fragments may come loose, which poses a danger of cutting your fingers during ordinary scrolling or your face when making a call.
  • Loss of protective function: Glass that has cracked once has a damaged internal structure. In the next fall, even a smaller one, it can no longer absorb the impact and the energy passes straight to the screen.

Apply it straight out of the box

The best solution is to apply the protection to the screen as soon as the new phone is unpacked. A brand-new screen has no dust or grease on it, so the glass adheres perfectly to the surface and no air bubbles form underneath. Your smartphone is thus protected from the first scratches from keys or coins in your pocket from the very first minute.

Why leave the application to professionals?

Although many protectors are sold for application at home, the process requires an absolutely dust-free environment, a steady hand and precision. A badly applied protector with bubbles or trapped dust not only looks unattractive, but also loses its protective function.

In our workshop we have professional equipment for perfectly degreasing and cleaning the screen before application. The glass will be centred to the exact millimetre and without a single bubble, and the whole replacement takes only a few minutes.
