Does not charge at all
Nothing happens when the cable is connected, or only another charger helps. The connector is often to blame, not the battery.
iPhone not charging, charging only in a certain position or showing “liquid detected in connector”? Usually it is enough to clean or replace the charging connector. Diagnostics is free with the repair.
Symptoms
Nothing happens when the cable is connected, or only another charger helps. The connector is often to blame, not the battery.
The cable has to be held at an angle or pressed in. The connector is worn or loose.
The iPhone reports “Liquid detected in Lightning connector” even when dry — the contacts are dirty or corroded.
Over the years dust and pocket fibres build up in the connector. Sometimes professional cleaning is enough.
The connector overheats or the cable “sparks” — this needs dealing with immediately.
How the process works
Models we repair
We repair charging on models with Lightning (iPhone 14 and older) and with USB-C (iPhone 15 and newer). We also fix MagSafe wireless charging if it does not work.
The iPhone 15 and newer moved to USB-C, older models have Lightning — the parts and the procedure differ. In the case of liquid damage we also deal with corrosion traces on the board around the connector, not just the port itself.
Frequently asked questions
It is often the connector, not the battery. We find out exactly during diagnostics so you do not replace a more expensive part unnecessarily.
It depends on the model and on whether cleaning is enough or a replacement is needed. We tell you the price in advance, after diagnostics.
Surprisingly often, yes — built-up dust prevents contact. If that is enough, we change nothing else.
The iPhone interprets corroded or dirty contacts as moisture. Cleaning or replacing the connector solves it.
No, a charging repair does not touch the storage.
We do not charge for diagnostics if we carry out the repair — even if the device cannot be repaired. If you decline the repair, diagnostics costs €39 incl. VAT.
