What we repair

The most common Dell laptop faults

Battery replacement

The laptop does not last without the charger, or the battery swells.

Screen replacement

Cracked panel, stripes or flickering. On the XPS we also deal with touch panels.

Overheating

The fan runs flat out and performance drops. We clean the cooling and replace the paste.

Charging connector

The laptop does not charge or reports an unknown adapter — we repair the power supply.

Will not turn on

The laptop does not respond — we find the cause during diagnostics.

How the process works

How the repair goes

  1. Diagnostics. We find the cause — battery, screen, charging, overheating or drive. Diagnostics is free if you have the repair done with us.
  2. Price upfront. We tell you the exact price before the repair. We do nothing until you approve it.
  3. Repair. We replace the part or clean the cooling — depending on what diagnostics shows.
  4. Test. We test the laptop under load to confirm the problem is solved.
  5. Your data stays. For most repairs we do not touch the drive. If the drive has to be worked on, we tell you in advance.

Models we repair

Dell series we service

We service the Latitude, XPS, Inspiron and Vostro. On the thin XPS we know the typical weak points of the cooling and the battery.

Latitude and XPS are business and premium series with quality construction, but the thin XPS have sensitive cooling and batteries. The “unknown power adapter” message is typical of Dell and means a problem with the power connector or cable.

Frequently asked questions

What you ask most often

Do you repair Latitude and XPS?

Yes, we service business Latitude and XPS as well as consumer Inspiron and Vostro.

Dell reports an “unknown power adapter” — what is that?

Usually a problem with the power connector or cable. The laptop then does not charge or reduces performance — we repair it.

How much does the repair cost?

It depends on the fault and model. We tell you the exact price in advance, after diagnostics.

My laptop overheats — can you help?

Yes, we clean the cooling and replace the paste. On thin models this is a common cause.

Will I lose my data?

Not for most repairs. If the drive had to be worked on, we would tell you in advance.

Is your Dell laptop giving you trouble?

We do not charge for diagnostics if we carry out the repair — even if the device cannot be repaired. If you decline the repair, diagnostics costs €39 incl. VAT.
